Head-on collision near Lucens VD causes fatalities and injuries

A 21-year-old driver has been killed in a head-on collision involving two cars between Lucens and Henniez in the canton of Vaud. The other driver was flown by rescue helicopter to Lausanne's Chuv University Hospital.
The collision occurred at 06:35 on Friday morning, as reported by the Vaud cantonal police on Saturday. For reasons still to be clarified, the 21-year-old Slovenian collided with an oncoming car. The young driver was killed on the spot. The oncoming driver, a 48-year-old Swiss national, was seriously but not life-threateningly injured.
