Graubünden FDP National Councillor Anna Giacometti received 15 votes in the election to confirm FDP Federal Councillor Karin Keller-Sutter. She does not know who voted for 62-year-old Giacometti instead of Keller-Sutter.
"I really have no idea," Giacometti told the Keystone-SDA news agency on Wednesday. But she said she was very embarrassed that Karin Keller-Sutter did not get those 15 votes. "I'm really very sorry about that and I don't know who is behind it."
Giacometti speculated that it might also be a sign of the election of Graubünden SP Federal Council candidate Jon Pult. "Or maybe there are just people in this room who like me, who knows."
