Fire caused by candles in Bulle FR leaves two injured

Two people were injured in a house fire in Bulle FR at Christmas that was probably caused by burning candles. Around 30 residents had to be evacuated.
The fire in the apartment of an apartment building broke out on Monday evening at around 9.45 p.m., according to a statement from the Fribourg cantonal police on Tuesday. A woman and her daughter, who were in the apartment, were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The approximately 30 evacuated residents of the apartment building were able to return to their apartments after around an hour. According to the findings at the scene, it appears that the fire was caused by burning candles left unattended.
