Inmate found dead in Witzwil prison BE

On Tuesday, a 39-year-old prisoner was found dead in his cell at the Witzwil correctional facility (JVA) in Gampelen BE. According to the cantonal police, there are no indications of any outside influence. The exact cause of death is now being investigated by the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Bern.
