Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) gain Hollywood Expertise
ZFF, a beacon of cinematic excellence, is set to embark on a new chapter.
Roger Crotti, a seasoned Disney executive, will replace Felix E. Müller as the president of the ZFF, marking a significant shift in the festival’s leadership.
Crotti’s impressive thirty-year tenure at Disney, overseeing operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, equips him with unparalleled expertise in the film industry.
His last decade in Munich, managing Disney’s regional affairs, has honed his skills in film promotion and distribution, making him an ideal choice for leading the ZFF.
In collaboration with Artistic Director Christian Jungen and Managing Director Jenifer Somm, Crotti aims to refine the ZFF’s strategic direction. Jungen expresses confidence in Crotti’s ability to enhance the festival’s international reputation, citing his influential contacts in Hollywood and Germany as key assets.
Felix Graf, CEO of NZZ, which has owned the ZFF since 2016, emphasizes the festival’s growing international allure. Celebrating its twentieth anniversary, the ZFF looks forward to its next edition from October 3 to 13, under Crotti’s guidance.
Felix E. Müller, who has chaired the ZFF since 2018 and formerly served as the editor-in-chief of “NZZ am Sonntag,” will be officially bid farewell in April. Coinciding with his departure, his book “Hollywood an der Limmat: Die Erfolgsgeschichte des ZFF” will be published, chronicling the festival’s success story.
