A2 closed in both directions after fire in Belchen tunnel

On Tuesday evening, a fire broke out at the Belchen Tunnel between Basel and Lucerne. As a result, the A2 had to be closed in both directions. This was reported by the Swiss police on X (formerly Twitter).
According to TCS, there is traffic congestion on the highway from Diegten BL and Egerkingen SO in the direction of the Belchen tunnel.
