After years of growth, Givaudan posted slightly lower sales in 2023. Sales fell by 2.8 percent to 6.9 billion Swiss francs, as the Geneva-based flavors and fragrances group announced in a press release on Thursday.
On a comparable basis, turnover would have risen by 4.1%. Organic growth therefore remained within the medium-term target range of 4% to 5%.
Operating profit before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) remained almost unchanged at CHF 1.47 billion. The EBITDA margin rose slightly from 20.7% in the previous year to 21.3%.
The bottom line was a net profit of CHF 893 million after CHF 856 million in 2022.
