Motorist clocked at 248 km/h in Ried near Kerzers FR

A motorist was clocked at 248 kilometers per hour on the A1 freeway in Ried near Kerzers FR on Wednesday evening. His driver's license was confiscated and the vehicle impounded.
The 26-year-old driver, who lives in the canton of Bern, was traveling from Murten in the direction of Bern, as the Fribourg cantonal police reported on Friday. The section was limited to 120 km/h.
The man was summoned to a police station and questioned in the presence of a lawyer. He will be reported to the relevant authorities.
