During the coronavirus pandemic, meetings were suddenly held online and moved to virtual space. As we know, this had a major impact on business travel. Although the airline Swiss has now finally put the crisis behind it in terms of sales and demand for private travel is high, the business travel business remains under pressure.
According to the management, bookings are stagnating at around 70 percent of the pre-pandemic level. "We assume that this will only return to a higher level in the long term," said Head of Commercial Heike Birlenbach at the airline's annual media conference on Thursday. However, it is also apparent that larger companies in particular have tended to forego business flights since the pandemic.
