Fussgängerin stirbt bei Kollision mit Strassenbahn in Basel

A pedestrian was fatally injured in an accident with a streetcar in Basel on Tuesday afternoon. This was announced by the Basel-Stadt cantonal police on X (formerly Twitter).
The accident occurred at Wettsteinplatz at around 2.00 pm. Traffic is currently severely restricted due to the accident investigation. Buses are running between Badischer Bahnhof and the Kunstmuseum instead of streetcars.
