Maskierte Demonstranten stören den Winterthurer Maiaufmarsch

Several tens of thousands of francs worth of damage was caused during the May 1st parade in Winterthur. Three people were provisionally arrested in this connection, the Winterthur city police announced on Wednesday.
The 22- and 26-year-old Swiss women and the 23-year-old man from Liechtenstein are suspected of having taken part in the damage to property.
The vast majority demonstrated peacefully, the police reported. However, masked demonstrators from the left-wing extremist scene disrupted the procession, spray-painting and setting off pyrotechnics along the entire route.
Police officers found various pyrotechnic objects and a baton in bags left behind and thrown away by demonstrators.
