A sailing boat sank during a regatta on Lake Zug near Oberwil ZG on Saturday afternoon. Another boat rescued a 40-year-old and a 70-year-old man. A 56-year-old man went missing in the late afternoon, according to the cantonal police.

The search for him and the sunken boat continued. The rescue work proved difficult due to the weather and the depth of Lake Zug at the scene of the accident. The two people rescued escaped with slight hypothermia, but were uninjured.
