Suspected car thief arrested in Biasca TI

A suspected car thief was arrested in Biasca TI on Thursday night. The 21-year-old Moroccan with no permanent residence in Switzerland resisted arrest and tried to hit one of the officers, according to the Ticino cantonal police.
The man is suspected of being the perpetrator of several car thefts, as was reported on Thursday. According to the police, his identification was made possible by a report of suspicious movements in the vicinity of cars in Via Lugano.
The man is accused of repeated burglary, damage to property, violence or threats against authorities and officers and the theft of a bicycle.
