Robbery at SBB counter in Martigny VS

An unknown perpetrator robbed the SBB counter at the station in Martigny VS early on Friday morning. After threatening the staff, he fled with an unknown amount of loot. A large police force was deployed.
The perpetrator was initially still on the run, according to the Valais cantonal police. The police were unable to provide any further information about the circumstances of the robbery or the wanted person for the time being, they told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request.
SBB confirmed the robbery without giving any further details. "For security reasons, we are not providing any information on the amounts stolen or on the security precautions around the counters in the stations," it said.
