20-year-old and 29-year-old in Ticino in custody after acts of violence

The compulsory measures court in Bellinzona has remanded a 20-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man in custody following violence during an argument outside a restaurant. The two are facing charges of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, grievous bodily harm and assault.
The investigation is ongoing, as the cantonal police announced on Friday. The detainees are an Italian woman living in Italy and a Swiss man from the region. The alleged offenses date back to Monday evening, when several people got into a fight outside a restaurant in Bellinzona.
A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the shoulder and had to go to hospital. The 29-year-old detainee suffered bruises. He and the Italian woman were arrested on the same evening. The public prosecutor's office and cantonal police did not provide any further details on Friday due to the ongoing investigations.
