Buses in Basel partially running again

The Basel public transport company will partially resume bus services on Friday. The streetcars in Basel are still not running for the time being after the onset of winter, as announced by the Basler Verkehrsbetriebe (BVB) early on Friday morning.
One of the reasons for this was that parts of the overhead line were covered in snow, according to BVB. It was therefore not possible to drive under the line with the pantograph.
After the snowfall subsided after midnight, the BVB and cantonal emergency services did everything they could to at least partially resume streetcar and bus services.
However, there are still considerable disruptions and irregular service on various bus routes. Line 42 cannot be operated, according to the press release. BVB asked the public for their patience and understanding.
