A new chapter has been opened for the Conference of Cantonal Governments following the conclusion of negotiations with the EU. The cantonal governments welcome the fact that this milestone has now been reached.
According to a statement issued by the Conference of Cantonal Governments (KdK) on Friday, concrete negotiation results are available that can be widely discussed and evaluated. At the same time, the domestic political course must now be set. "The cantons want to play a constructive role in this process." The aim is a balanced overall package that is also able to convince the population.
In addition to stabilizing the existing market access agreements, the package also contains new agreements. For example, the agreement in the area of the health agreement will improve cross-border cooperation in crisis situations and strengthen the health protection of the population.
