The Mayor of Bitsch VS Asks Evacuees for Patience

The Gemeindepräsident of Bitsch VS, Edgar Kuonen, has asked the people who were evacuated due to the forest fire to be patient and not to return home too soon. At a press conference on Tuesday, it was announced that five helicopters are currently fighting the forest fire above Bitsch and in the neighbouring municipality of Ried-Mörel VS. 205 people have been evacuated, and around 100 and 25 civilians are currently fighting the fire, as well as around ten police officers.
