Implenia secures over 110 million CHF in infrastructure and development projects in Switzerland and Germany, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable construction and renovation.

The Implenia construction group has received orders in Switzerland and Germany. The order volume amounts to over 110 million Swiss francs.

In Switzerland, Implenia and its partners Walo Bertschinger AG, Kästli Bau AG, and Weibel AG (together ARGE Niesen) have been awarded the contract for the complete renewal of the highway section between Thun Süd and Spiez by the Federal Roads Office, according to a statement on Tuesday. The total contract value of this project is CHF 100 million, with Implenia’s share amounting to CHF 25 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2024, with completion planned for the first quarter of 2028.

In addition, ARGE Rose, under the leadership of Implenia, will repair the section of the city highway between St. Gallen West and East with a project share of 28 percent. The total order volume is also CHF 100 million, and Implenia’s share is CHF 28 million.

In Germany, Implenia also received orders from long-standing customers, including two further production facilities for the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim and a refurbishment of two listed properties in Munich on behalf of the project developer Ehret + Klein. The projects place high demands on sustainability, the report continues. The order volume is around 60 million Swiss francs.
