62-year-old scooter rider dies after collision with car

A car collided with a scooter in St-Gingolph VS on Saturday. The 62-year-old rider of the two-wheeler lost his life.
The 76-year-old car driver and the scooter driver were driving on the road from St-Gingolph to Le Bouveret at 7.30 p.m., the Valais cantonal police reported on Sunday. For reasons that are not yet clear, the front of the scooter collided with the rear of the car. The rider of the two-wheeler fell onto the road and died at the scene of the accident despite receiving immediate medical treatment. The public prosecutor's office launched an investigation.
