83-year-old fatally injured while hiking in the Lugano region

An 83-year-old Italian citizen has died in a fall above Grancia TI. According to the Ticino cantonal police, the man was reported missing on Monday.
The man, who lived in the Lugano region, fell at an altitude of around 400 meters, the Ticino cantonal police reported. The exact circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
Members of the cantonal police, the Lugano municipal police, Swiss Alpine Rescue and Rega were only able to determine that the man had died.
