Accident is probably the reason for explosion in underground parking garage in Nussbaumen AG

According to the Aargau cantonal police, the explosion in Nussbaumen AG on Thursday evening, which left two people dead and eleven injured, was an accident. A criminal act or an attack can be ruled out.
It is still unclear what caused the explosion, said police spokesman Daniel Wächter on Friday morning on request. Investigations are ongoing. The statics of the residential buildings are currently being clarified. There is no acute danger, but there are areas at risk of collapse.
According to Wächter, some of the 100 or so people evacuated from the high-rise estate were able to return to their homes during the night. A contact point has been set up on site for the remaining people.
There were several explosions in the underground parking garage of the residential complex shortly before 7 p.m. on Thursday. A fire spread across several floors.
According to the police, the extinguishing work was completed on Friday night. No other dead or injured persons were found, according to a press release. There was great chaos in the garage and there was immense material damage to the building and the parked vehicles.
