For the online portal watson.ch, the AHV miscalculation will have an impact on the vote on the BVG reform in September.

"In fact, however, the middle classes are on the defensive. If the AHV is doing better than expected, the pressure of suffering will decrease. This will have an impact on the discussion about a higher retirement age. The conservatives will think carefully about how far they want to go. After all, as already mentioned, the women's retirement age of 65 was only accepted by a very narrow margin. Voters react sensitively to anything that looks like 'pension theft'. This is why the BSV flop is also likely to have an impact on the vote on September 22 on the reform of occupational pensions (BVG). The AHV bill will not play a role here, but the supporters of the complex bill will still have an even harder time."
