Ambassador: “Bürgenstock is easy to secure”

The Bürgenstock has been chosen as the venue for the Ukraine peace conference in June because it is "well located and easy to secure". Ambassador Gabriel Lüchinger said this to the media in Bern on Wednesday.
The effort involved is comparable to that for the WEF in Davos, said Lüchinger. However, the security arrangements for the WEF are well established, whereas the Bürgenstock is a new operation with new challenges for the army and the police corps.
