Army helps with Super Puma helicopters in the storm areas

The Swiss Armed Forces are supporting the cantons of Ticino and Valais in coping with the severe storms on Saturday and Sunday night. It has deployed Super Puma helicopters in the storm areas.
This was announced by the Department of Defense on Sunday via the short message service X. It did not provide any information on the number of helicopters deployed. Additional resources will be made available at the request of the cantons, the short message stated.
The Maggia Valley in Ticino and parts of the canton of Valais are affected by the storm and severe flooding. Numerous traffic routes are interrupted in these areas.
