Arrested man suspected of premeditated murder

Following the discovery of a female body in Morbio Inferiore TI, the man arrested has been charged with intentional homicide. This was announced by the public prosecutor's office in Ticino on Wednesday. According to information from the police, the 68-year-old is Italian and lives in the Mendrisio region.
The man had already been arrested on Tuesday. The relationship between the 68-year-old and the woman found dead is being investigated, according to a police statement.
The 65-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in Morbio Inferiore in Mendrisiotto shortly before 10.30 on Tuesday morning. She was an Italian citizen.
