Body of 46-year-old French woman found in Lake Geneva

Following the discovery of the body of a French woman in Lake Geneva near Allaman VD, the police arrested a 46-year-old Swiss man from the canton of Vaud on Thursday. Investigators assume that the death was caused by a third party. The exact circumstances of the woman's death are unknown, as the Vaud cantonal police announced on Thursday evening.
The body of the 46-year-old French woman, who lived in France, was discovered in Lake Geneva on January 5.
The public prosecutor's office initiated a criminal investigation and requested that the suspect be remanded in custody, according to the statement. The man is presumed innocent.
