Burglar eats in the catering warehouse and falls asleep

A 32-year-old man fell asleep after breaking into a wholesale catering business in Brunegg AG. He had previously helped himself to food. The police had to wake the sleeping Turkish man in a corner of the large warehouse on Thursday evening.
The man, who is registered as an asylum seeker in accommodation outside the canton, was arrested without resistance, as the Aargau cantonal police announced on Friday. Several patrols searched the large storage building.
An employee had previously noticed during an inspection that various large packages had been torn open in the warehouse. Some of the contents of the packs had been scattered around. According to the police, someone had been eating the packaged food.
