CH Media on the Bürgenstock Conference

The online editions of the CH-Media newspapers comment on the outcome of the Ukraine peace conference on the Bürgenstock NW as follows:
"The mountain helped (...) to achieve a double success. Firstly, the authorities, police, army and aid workers presented themselves from their best side in a tense global situation (...) Secondly, Switzerland has set a process in motion with the conference. For the first time since the start of the war on February 24, 2022, peacebuilding measures were widely discussed at an international conference. (...) But there is one fly in the ointment. Switzerland has taken itself out of the running for a crucial follow-up conference (...). The sanctions (...) and the Bürgenstock Conference alongside the Ukrainian President (...) have definitely placed Switzerland in the Western camp. For Russia, Switzerland is therefore no longer a partner for good offices. (...)"
