Chlorine leaked from the swimming pool in La Chaux-de-Fonds NE

Chlorine has leaked from the technical room of the Les Arêtes swimming pool in La Chaux-de-Fonds NE. The spread of toxic substances is expected, as the cantonal police and Alertswiss announced on Tuesday morning.
According to the emergency announcement, residents of the La Croix-de-Fédérale district are advised to close doors and windows and turn off the ventilation and air conditioning. People should also avoid the affected area.
Neuchâtel regional radio station RTN reported that the alarm was triggered at 07:49. The police subsequently cordoned off the area around the swimming pool.
