Claude Maurer will take over the position of Chief Economist at BAK Economics on December 1, 2024. The former Chief Economist at Credit Suisse will also become a member of the Executive Board of the economic research institute.
Maurer is thus returning to his roots, as BAK Economics announced on Thursday. Before moving to Credit Suisse, he began his career at the Basel-based bank in 2004. He is now to take on a "leading role" in the further development of the bank.
With Maurer, BAK Economics is gaining a chief economist who wants to drive forward the combination of traditional economic research and technological innovation, the press release continues.
BAK Economics is planning to offer more IT-supported solutions in the future. For example, to help SMEs in particular to increase their productivity.
