Cyclist dies in collision with car in Prangins VD

A 28-year-old cyclist from France was hit by a car in Prangins VD on Sunday and died at the scene of the accident. The car driver from the region was uninjured, as the Vaud cantonal police reported on Monday.
According to the police, the collision occurred shortly before 6 pm. The car came from a side road and hit the cyclist, who was traveling in the direction of Pragnins. Despite first aid at the scene of the accident, the man died.
The Route de Lausanne was closed to traffic until around 11 p.m. for the investigation and the operation. The public prosecutor's office has opened a criminal investigation.
