Daniela Schneeberger new President of the Swiss Retail Federation

Daniela Schneeberger takes over the presidency of the Swiss Retail Federation (SRF). The FDP National Councillor from Basel succeeds Christa Markwalder, who has held the position since 2020.
Schneeberger, a trustee and entrepreneur, has been a member of the National Council since 2011 and is a member of the large chamber's Committee for Economic Affairs and Taxation. She knows how to bridge the gap between politics and business, SRF wrote in a press release on Thursday.
According to its own statement, the association represents 1600 retailers in Switzerland and only accepts members who also directly create jobs in Switzerland.
