The Director of the Kunsthaus Baselland in Muttenz BL, Ines Goldbach, has been awarded the title of "Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres". France has recognized her commitment to young French artists, as the Kunsthaus announced on Monday. The "Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" (Order of Arts and Letters) is an award established in 1957 and administered by the French Ministry of Culture. The Order is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves through their work in the artistic or literary field, or through their contribution to the promotion of the arts and literature in France and around the world. The official ceremony with the presentation of the Order will take place in cooperation with the French Embassy in the spring of 2024 in the new building of the Kunsthaus Baselland on the Campus of Arts on the Dreispitzareal in Münchenstein BL.
