Like the trade unions, the employers' association does not agree with the EU's expenses regulations for posted workers. It is calling for "a suitable solution to be found".
The Swiss Employers' Association (SAV) wrote on Monday at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency that "the regulation in force in the EU is not suitable for large wage differences", as shown by the fact that Germany is not implementing it. The employers are therefore calling on the Federal Council to "negotiate hard" with the EU.
However, the employers do not believe that wage protection as a whole is at risk. "Where there is a need for adjustment due to the threat of a deterioration in wage protection, domestic countermeasures have been sought and found," the statement continued.
The measures worked out were sufficient to maintain wage protection. For existing problems, the employers continued to remain in dialog and were looking for solutions, including among the social partners.
The employers' association is therefore calling on the Federal Council to start negotiations with the EU on the package of agreements.
