Telecom companies cannot escape the discount battle around Black Friday. An evaluation by the comparison platform Dschungelkompass has examined the offers.
The main finding of the evaluation published on Monday: Depending on the provider, the supposed bargain tariffs can be cheaper, but also more expensive compared to previous offers. And smaller providers in particular lure customers with cheaper promotional prices.
According to the information provided, tariffs were tested that offer unlimited minutes, text messages and unlimited data volume without throttling within Switzerland. In the case of discounts with a limited term, the average monthly costs for use over 24 months were included in the calculation.
At the top of the list was Quickline's offer. Here, the basic fee is waived for two years for all cell phone subscriptions. Only an activation fee of CHF 40 has to be paid. After two years, the regular subscription price applies, which is between CHF 10 and CHF 70 per month, depending on the subscription chosen.
In general, the experts at Dschungelkompass advise that you should not be blinded by high percentage discounts. The final monthly price is more important. You should also pay attention to the minimum contract period.
