The Ticino government has appointed an extraordinary public prosecutor. The public prosecutor from the canton of Graubünden is to investigate the criminal complaint filed by two ordinary judges at the Ticino cantonal criminal court against the three other ordinary judges.
According to media reports in Ticino, the criminal complaint is related to an alleged case of bullying against a secretary at the Cantonal Criminal Court. Due to the ongoing proceedings, the Ticino government did not provide any information on the content of the criminal complaint in its communication sent out on Tuesday.
In a letter dated August 12, the Ticino Attorney General Andrea Pagani asked the cantonal government to appoint an extraordinary deputy public prosecutor to deal with the complaint, according to the communiqué.
The Ticino government complied with this request and entrusted Franco Passini, Deputy First Public Prosecutor of the Canton of Graubünden, with handling the criminal application.
