Fribourg State Councillor Bonvin-Sansonnens out of action for three months

Fribourg Education Director Sylvie Bonvin-Sansonnens will be absent for about three months for health reasons. This was announced by the State Council on Thursday.
He wished her a speedy recovery, the communiqué said. It is a probable oncological disease, which is currently being investigated in more detail.
Didier Castella, President of the Council of State, will take over as deputy. With the General Secretariat of the Education and Culture Directorate, he had made the necessary arrangements to ensure the continuity of the office.
According to the communiqué, Bonvin-Sansonnens informed her colleagues in the cantonal government on Tuesday that she must temporarily step down from her post. The Green politician was elected to the cantonal government in 2021.
