The Federal Gaming Board carried out two house searches in the cantons of Solothurn and Valais on Thursday and Friday. In Solothurn, it confiscated several computers and cash amounting to CHF 2,000 and in Valais two illegal gaming machines.

The Colorama gaming machines confiscated in Evionnaz VS offer a game that was classified as a casino game by the Swiss Federal Gaming Board (SFGB), as the latter announced on Friday.

The cantonal police discovered gambling equipment such as cards and dice in a pub in Olten SO. They also seized computers that were presumably used to offer casino games.

The SFGB opened an investigation into the persons responsible for the two establishments, who were questioned on site. They must answer for violations of the Gambling Act. This provides for prison sentences of up to three years or fines for operating illegal casino games.
