And again there are two less: it's over for Lydwine and Lucas in the casting show "Germany's Next Topmodel". In the twelfth episode broadcast on ProSieben on Thursday evening, the 21-year-old student from Lemgo and the 24-year-old actor from Norderstedt did not receive any photos and had to pull up stakes in their luxury penthouse in Los Angeles. If the candidates make it through, they always receive a photo of themselves after the challenges.
Lydwine posed at the end of the catwalk, even though she wasn't supposed to, and was the only one to play around with her costume during the fitting - which the judges didn't like either. She took her exit in her stride and smiled - the other candidates shed tears. "It was fun," was her conclusion. Lucas was too stiff and cerebral for the jury. He thanked them for his time on the show. "I think you're great, I'm really going to miss you too," said show boss Heidi Klum.
The models had to perform in three fashion shows. "All good things come in threes," said Heidi Klum at the start of the show. The men wore looks by US designer Ashton Michael, the women by Swiss designer Kevin Germanier. At the end, everyone had to walk in outfits by Berlin designer Esther Perbandt. The designer trio formed the jury together with Heidi Klum.
Perbandt made it particularly difficult for the candidates: the models had to walk slowly up the 50-metre catwalk and then quickly back down again - which sometimes worked more or less well. The next challenge is already waiting: in the next episode next Thursday, the remaining 16 models will have to prove their acting talent.
