Nicole Brändle has announced her resignation as Director of the industry association Hotelleriesuisse. She had only just taken up the post on April 1, 2024 and is now leaving the association at the end of June 2025.

Brändle informed the association's management that she was stepping down for personal reasons, Hotelleriesuisse announced on Thursday. Developments in her private life had prompted her to take this step.

Nicole Brändle is married to Martin Schlegel, the designated President of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). Schlegel was appointed at the end of June as the successor to long-serving Chairman Thomas Jordan and will take over from him on October 1.

In the communiqué, the association expresses its understanding for the decision, but at the same time regrets it "extraordinarily". In Brändle, the association has lost a competent leader who tackled very important projects with great enthusiasm and professionalism.
