According to Israel's army, it has killed several suspected terrorists in the Gaza Strip during its advance. These included people involved in the massacre in Israel, the military announced on Friday.

The United Nations called on Tel Aviv to open another border crossing to supply civilians. US President Joe Biden wants an increase in aid supplies. In the Gaza Strip, 20 of 36 clinics can no longer operate due to a lack of medical supplies. Once again, several hundred foreigners are allowed to leave the embattled and sealed-off coastal strip.

The Gaza war was triggered by the worst massacre in Israel's history, carried out by Hamas terrorists and other extremist Palestinian organizations on 7 October in Israel near the border with the Gaza Strip.

Israel: Numerous terrorists killed in fighting

On Friday night, Israeli soldiers reportedly killed 19 suspected terrorists who were planning an attack. In addition, the soldiers "eliminated" 30 suspected terrorists at a "Hamas military post" and a training area.

It was initially unclear whether they had been killed. The armed forces had seized dozens of weapons, rockets and drones, among other things. The army also searched the office of Hamas leader Jihia al-Sinwar's brother.

Clinic in Lebanon allegedly targeted by Israel

According to Lebanese reports, a hospital was targeted in fighting on the border between Lebanon and Israel on Friday. The Lebanese Ministry of Health strongly condemned "the targeting" of the Mais al-Jabal hospital in the border area.

According to the Israeli military, it is currently investigating the incident. The action would have "led to catastrophic consequences" if the artillery shell had exploded completely, according to the ministry.

Tens of thousands flee again to the south of the Gaza Strip

According to Israeli reports, tens of thousands have once again fled from the embattled north of the Gaza Strip to the south of the coastal region. For the sixth day in a row, it was once again possible for Palestinian civilians to escape safely for several hours, according to the Israeli Cogat authority, which is responsible for Palestinian affairs. According to the army, the escape corridor is passable for six hours during the day. "Time is running out for an evacuation," warned an army spokesperson.

Around 600 foreigners about to leave the Gaza Strip

594 foreigners and Palestinians with dual citizenship were waiting to leave for Egypt via the Rafah border crossing on Friday, according to Palestinian sources. The Palestinian Authority's list included six Germans. People from Canada, the USA, Romania, Russia, Brazil, Poland and other countries were also scheduled to leave the country.

WHO: Only a few clinics can still operate

In the Gaza Strip, 20 of the 36 hospitals are no longer in operation due to heavy bombing, destruction and a lack of medical supplies. This was reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva. The hospitals that are still functioning are only running on an emergency basis because many do not have enough disinfectants, anesthetics or electricity to provide normal care to patients.

Hamas authority: Number of dead in Gaza rises to more than 11,000

The number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip has risen to 11,078 since the start of the war, according to the Islamist Hamas health ministry. Another 27,490 people have been injured since then, according to a spokesperson. Around 2700 people are considered missing. The previous day, the Ministry of Health in Gaza had reported 10,818 deaths.

The Ministry of Health in the West Bank, which is under the authority of the Palestinian Authority (PA), put the number of deaths in the Gaza Strip at 11,025. According to the authority, it still has its own staff in the Gaza Strip.

On the Israeli side, more than 1,400 people were killed in the terrorist attack on October 7 and shortly afterwards, including many women, children and young people.

UN wants to see another border crossing opened

The United Nations called on Israel to open its Kerem Shalom border crossing into the Gaza Strip. The facilities there were built to handle trucks, while the Rafah crossing to Egypt, which is currently in use, was built for pedestrians, said Jens Laerke, spokesman for the UN Office of Civil Protection (OCHA), in Geneva.

This is why, in addition to security concerns, there are always logistical problems in Rafah in handling large quantities of relief supplies. A total of 821 trucks with relief supplies have now been processed. Before Hamas's terrorist attack on Israel, around 500 trucks a day were handled.

Biden speaks out in favor of increasing aid supplies

US President Joe Biden spoke out in favor of delivering significantly more aid to the Gaza Strip. "Two days ago there were 96 trucks of aid and yesterday 106 trucks. But we need more, and soon. Our goal is at least 150 a day, every day," he wrote in a lengthy statement on the X platform (formerly Twitter).

Autonomous Authority again ready for government in the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has reportedly once again signaled its willingness to take over the reins of government once the war in Gaza is over as part of a two-state solution. "We will bear our full responsibility as part of a comprehensive political solution," said Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

This refers to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, which would include the West Bank and East Jerusalem as well as the Gaza Strip. However, this vision is rejected by most members of the government in Israel.

99 UN employees dead so far

According to the United Nations, 99 staff members have been killed in the Gaza war so far as a result of Israeli attacks. UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on teams at all locations worldwide to observe a minute's silence on Monday, November 13 at 9.30 a.m., according to the UN spokesperson at the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva.

The flags would be flown at half-mast. According to the spokesperson, never before since the UN was founded in 1945 have so many staff members lost their lives during a conflict in such a short period of time.
