A journalist from the Catholic Media Center denied the accusation of defamation before the Zurich District Court on Tuesday. However, the lawyer of the German manager mentioned in her article considers her sources to be "unreliable".

The lawyer said in court that a court had ruled that the anti-Semitism commissioner of Baden-Württemberg quoted could himself be described as an anti-Semite.

The journalist had therefore failed to exercise the necessary care when she used the accusations of this anti-Semitism commissioner and from old articles for her text. The fact that his client was associated with the AfD and anti-Semitic tendencies were attributed to him was damaging to his reputation.

Manager disinvited again

The lawyer for the kath.ch journalist, however, said that the sources were reliable. Certain statements that could be considered anti-democratic were also available online. The article appeared after the manager was disinvited as a speaker at the Chur Deanery.

The judge opens the verdict at 10.45 am.
