The western Swiss business newspaper "L'Agefi" comments on the "Yes" vote on the 13th AHV pension as follows:
"L'Agefi" fears a funding problem for the AHV following the yes vote on the 13th AHV pension. For the western Swiss business media outlet, the referendum is a sign that voters have moved from a spirit of personal responsibility to an increased demand for state intervention. "The Swiss are falling away from the liberalism and sense of responsibility that have been their strength for so long," writes the newspaper.
