Lawyer demands acquittal in the “cage trial” in Andelfingen

On the second day of the trial in the "house slave trial" in Andelfingen ZH, the wife's lawyer demanded a full acquittal. She had in no way had a "prison guard function", as the prosecution accused her of.
His client admits that she "occasionally helped to put the shackles on", the lawyer said. But only when her husband was not there. "She did what her husband told her to do." The lawyer therefore demanded a full acquittal for Philippina.
The public prosecutor's office is requesting a conditional prison sentence of 10 months for multiple counts of aiding and abetting deprivation of liberty, and that she be expelled from the country for five years.
Her husband, a 46-year-old Swiss man with pronounced dominant tendencies and a narcissistic disorder, had recruited two young foreign women under false promises and exploited them as "house slaves". He locked them in a cage every day. The Andelfingen district court will hand down its verdict next week.
