Logitech has appointed a new group CEO, Hanneke Faber. The Dutchwoman comes from Unilever and will take up her new position on December 1, 2023.
As CEO, Faber will initially work at Logitech's headquarters in Switzerland before moving to Silicon Valley next year, the U.S.-Swiss company announced late Monday night. Former company helmsman Bracken Darrell had stepped down with immediate effect in mid-June after around ten years in office.
Ad interim Board member Guy Gecht has been at the helm at Logitech since then. He will continue as interim CEO until Faber takes over, before resuming his duties on the board, including chairing the Technology and Innovation Committee, the statement said.
Faber, a 54-year-old Dutch national, reportedly joins Logitech from consumer goods company Unilever. There, she led the $14 billion nutrition business as group president. Her responsibilities spanned more than 150 countries and included brands, research and development, the Unilever Food Solutions B2B business and a supply chain of some 60 factories and contract manufacturers around the world.
