Long waiting times on the south side of the Gotthard road tunnel

On the south side of the Gotthard road tunnel, the northbound journey took time. At midday on Sunday, the traffic jam on the A2 was twelve kilometers long, as the Ticino cantonal police and the TCS reported on X.
According to TCS traffic information, this meant a waiting time of around two hours on the way north.
On the northern side of the tunnel, the queue of cars between Amsteg UR and Göschenen UR was five kilometers long at lunchtime. According to TCS, this meant a time loss of around 50 minutes.
