Man dies in fireworks accident in Schenkon LU

A man died in Schenkon LU on New Year's Eve in an accident involving a fireworks display he had presumably built himself. The 46-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
As the Lucerne police announced on New Year's Day, the device was used to fire firecrackers. The accident occurred in the Tann area. The Sursee public prosecutor's office and the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland launched an investigation.
