Man escapes with a scare in apartment explosion in Klosters

A 76-year-old tenant escaped with a scare after an explosion in his apartment in an apartment building in Klosters GR on Saturday afternoon. He remained uninjured. The cause of the explosion was initially unknown.
The incident room was informed of the explosion at 11.50 a.m., according to a statement from the Graubünden cantonal police. The 76-year-old man was alone in the two-and-a-half-room apartment. He had heard a loud bang coming from the kitchen.
The force of the explosion caused the balcony door and frame to be thrown out onto the forecourt. The cause of the explosion is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the cantonal police.
