Manhunt for 18-year-old – large-scale operation in Constance

During the night, police deployed a large contingent in Constance to search for a possibly armed man. The 18-year-old fled to the neighboring Swiss town of Kreuzlingen on an e-scooter on Thursday evening after an argument in a hotel in the Lake Constance town, police reported.
A possible firearm was shown during threats in the area of the Constance hotel and in Switzerland, as reported by the police. The circumstances of the threats in the neighboring country initially remained unclear. The population was not in danger during these incidents.
In the early hours of the morning, the police gave the all-clear in coordination with the Thurgau cantonal police - the number of officers was reduced at around 3.00 am. The search is no longer underway, but investigations are continuing.
The whereabouts of the 18-year-old initially remained unclear. A police spokeswoman reported in the morning that no further information on the incidents could be provided for the time being.
